Backing boost for new stuck-object technology tool
RotoJar has received grant funding from both Scottish Enterprise and the Oil & Gas Innovation Centre (OGIC) to develop and test its new revolutionising stuck-object extraction tool.
Over £500k of Scottish Enterprise’s SMART Grant Funding has allowed RotoJar to prove the concept and proceed with a comprehensive programme of Research and Development at the company’s purpose-built facility near Banchory, Aberdeenshire, allowing RotoJar to near its commercialistion target for its unique and patented product.
Through OGIC, RotoJar has also partnered with the University of Aberdeen, experts in the field of drill string dynamics and vibration, working together to create a model that can predict how variances in tool parameters can optimise performance. “We are extremely grateful for the support from both Scottish Enterprise and OGIC in this development phase and look forward to taking our technology to the next critical stage – a field trial.” says Adam Ubhi, Chief Technical Officer at RotoJar.
